Chris Ferrara, owner of US Fire Apparatus, is a nationally recognized leader in the fire service industry with over four decades of hands-on experience and innovation. His career began as a volunteer firefighter in Central, Louisiana, where he built his first fire truck out of necessity using his background as a pipefitter—an act that sparked his lifelong commitment to improving fire apparatus for departments nationwide.
In 1982, Chris founded Ferrara Fire Apparatus, building custom fire trucks known for their quality, performance, and durability. After decades of success, he launched US Fire Pump in 2014, introducing high-volume emergency response solutions, including a Guinness World Record-holding fire truck and support during major industrial incidents around the globe.
Now through US Fire Apparatus, Chris continues his mission by designing and manufacturing dependable, high-performance apparatus for today’s fire service. His passion for innovation has earned him multiple industry awards, and his companies remain dedicated to protecting people, property, and first responders through cutting-edge engineering. Chris and his wife Angela have three children; Kate, Christopher, and Connor.
