With over 35 years of experience in fire apparatus manufacturing, Chuck held supervisory roles at Ferrara Fire Apparatus before joining the US Fire Apparatus team. He has a proven track record of implementing reliable electrical systems, both hardwired and multiplex, and has designed new and innovative electrical systems for a variety of applications. Chuck designs all of the consoles for US Fire Apparatus commercial chassis.
Chuck’s areas of expertise include multiplex systems, such as ES-Key, V-Mux, and Ultra View, as well as programming for Cummins Instie, Allison DOC, Wabco Toolbox, and International NES. He is also skilled in harness design, detailed schematics, console design, and all areas of electrical troubleshooting for both AC and DC systems. Chuck holds several certificates, including Allison DOC, International Diamond Logic, ES-Key, V-MUX, Ultra-View, Autodesk Inventor Cable & Harness Design, AutoCAD Electrical Fundamentals, and Command Light. He has also earned his associate’s degree in Designer Drafting and Industrial Technology.
Chuck worked his way up from sweeping the shop to electrical engineering supervisor, and has served as the FDNY Project Manager, attended preconstruction meetings for high-profile customers such as FDNY, Yonkers, NYPD, and Central Pierce. He was also the Warranty Advisor for 1 ½ years for those departments.
Chuck has also taught electrical training classes for customers and road technicians, written user manuals for different electrical systems, and provided troubleshooting services for electrical issues with customers worldwide. Throughout his career, he has supervised various departments, including Electrical (Production), Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, Pumps, and Trim.
In addition to his work at US Fire Apparatus, Chuck enjoys fishing, grilling, and spending quality time with his beautiful wife and family.
